New Baby Cousin

We have been waiting patiently for months for our new baby cousin to arrive. Well he finally made his grand entrance late on June 10th. His name is Clark Ryan, he was 6lbs 7 oz and 20 inches. We went yesterday to meet him for the first time. The kids are so excited to have a cousin in the area. Congratulations Jeni and Kev!

The Champions

This is Amara's 1st year to play softball. She got very lucky to be on this team with this coach. They really have had alot of fun playing together this season. They all have learned alot and improved almost every game. Coach Mike was a great combination of Coach and Cheerleader. Tonight was the championship play off game. We won 27-11. The girls were so excited but I think the parents were even more excited. It's fun to see your kids succeed. They worked really hard and deserve the title. Way to go Mustangs!

Sul had a Birthday,shout Hurray!

So my second born is 5. What in the world is happening? He's gonna be starting kindergarten in the fall. What is happening? I honestly can't believe how the time has just flown by......... don't get me wrong there are some days that feel like they last a month but, all in all the time has just zoomed right past.

He had a great day! He started by waking us a 7 am to unwrap presents( seriously, how happy can your birthday be when you get up at 7 am?), then he had a nice birthday breakfast of eggs, sausage and go-gurt. I offered to let him eat it in bed and he looked at me like I was an alien. Apparently he likes to eat at the table. He then got ready for the day in a 30 minute shower where he used his new Super Soaker Amara got him. His friend Molly came over for a play date because in this house a day is incomplete without a play date. Molly and Sully have become good buds. We then met Sully's other pal Belle at McDonalds for birthday lunch and playing on the indoor play structure. That never gets boring. Then we came home and made chocolate chip cookies and got ready for Amara's softball game. After the softball game (which we won) Sully chose to go to his favorite Thai restaurant for noodles and rice. We ended the night with a candle in a chocolate chip cookie and then bed at 9:40 pm. It was a good day. Tonight we are having birthday dinner (Hawaiian Haystacks, Sully's pick) and birthday cake with the Wongs and Jeni and Kev. In this house we celebrate birthdays for days.

Here are a few pictures from his day......

It's Been a Hard Day's Night

Eric has been pretty much working nonstop for the last few weeks. He works for the paper in the day and some evenings and on a new side business every night. I have missed him! He got up this morning and took Amara to softball practice, then he came home and sat in his chair to watch the Mariners get beat by the Yankees(come on boys) and this is how he ended up. It didn't last long but at least it's was a little nap.
He is amazing and I appreciate all he is doing for us. I couldn't and wouldn't want to live without him!

Tagged..... and apparently I am it!

My little sister Tara was tagged on her blog and she tagged me. So here are a few questions I am sure you are dying to know the answers to.

10 YEARS AGO :
I was working as a receptionist at an OB/GYN's office wondering if I would ever be a mom. Now I am a mom of 3 amazing little kids!

5 PLACES I HAVE VISITED :
1. Toronto, Canada
2. Austin, Texas
3. Atlanta, Georgia
4. Salt Lake City, Utah
5. Tulsa, Oklahoma

5 THINGS ON MY TO DO LIST :
1. Finish next blankie
2. Take Sully to the zoo on next rain free day (so July)
3. Start next blankie
4. Clean House
5. Get Finn's hair cut

5 LIFE TIME GOALS :
1. TRAVEL (everywhere)
2. Become a real seamstress
3. Become someone my kids are proud to call Mom
4. Get Healthy and Fit
5. Always stay Eric's best friend

THREE BAD HABITS :
1. Not saying how I really feel
2. Missing sacrament meeting
3. Speaking poorly of myself

FIVE THINGS YOU MAY NOT KNOW ABOUT ME :
1. I HATE to be cold!
2. I don't like to eat outside
3. I can't watch animal shows while I eat
4. I hate listening to Eric eat cereal
5. I love a good action movie and Mariners baseball

So that's what I've got to tell you.

Wild Visitors

Recently they have been doing contruction around our house. They have chopped down a bunch of trees and misplaced some wild life. This poor little duck couple keeps ending up in our front yard. It's really fun to see them close up and the kids absolutely love it. They get the bread out and the ducks will actually eat from their hands. The kids decided yesterday to make a little duck shrine, in hopes they would want to stay here with us. They worked on it for an hour and a half with out fighting once. Thanks Ducks!

My Newest Creation

Here is one of the most recent creations. Eric loves this one so much he won't let me give it away to anyone. He helped me pick out the fabric so he is feeling a little connected.

Future Olympian

It was freezing cold, literally around 35 degrees but Amara and the "Mustangs" had their first softball game today. She's a natural! She hit the ball hard all three times she was up to bat. She played RF, first, third and shortstop and did fantastic at all of them. It was actually a softball jamboree and they play 4 innings or until they run out of time. Her first complete game is Tuesday. Today's score...15-6 Mustangs.

Shortboard Conversion

Sully and I converted his shortboard to a dropdeck. After reading about it on a forum, I drilled some new holes to mount the trucks an bought a used set of longboarding wheels. You have to look close but the trucks are have been remounted near the ends of the board where the kicktails used to be. It's faster, smoother and lower to the ground. I still have to do the wheel cutouts but so far it's fantastic and he loves it.

Cousins

My kids have never had cousins close by. I know...... sad huh? My sister Chrissta has 4 kids in Texas, my sister Tara has 2 in Texas and now Eric's sister Tonya has a little girl in Oregon. We don't get to see her as often as we'd like but it's more often then we get to see the Texans.

Lily came to our house this last weekend with her mom and dad and we loved it! Amara wanted to be the second mother(surprise, surprise), Sully just wanted to snuggle her when he felt like it and Finn was not so sure at first. It took him a little bit and then as you can see from the pictures he warmed up to her. Auntie and Uncle just wanted to hug her and kiss her and play with her until she cried, then it's off to Mom she went. That's a new experience for me!

We loved every minute of their visit and hope it's not so long til we see them again!

Happy Birthday Eric!

Today Eric is 32. I couldn't imagine at 18 as a newlywed what our life would be like in our 30's. Now it's here and I can't believe how time has just flown by. It's a cool reality to have watched your husband grow up in front of you, Eric is amazing, he always has been. I am so proud of the man he has grown into. He is a fabulous dad and a great husband and we are all blessed to have him in our lives!
We had a fun little get together the other night for Eric and our friend Paul's joined birthday. We had dinner at Olive Garden and then back to their house for some good clean Guitar Hero. It was really fun!
Happy Birthday Eric! We Love YOU!

Baby Clark's Blankie

My littlest sister, Jeni, is having her first baby come June. They just recently found out it's a little boy. His name will be Clark. We are very excited to finally have a cousin close to us. Amara was just giving Jeni advice as to what to do when he starts walking. I sat down and made this quilt for him the other day. It's one of our favorites that I've done so far.
