Amara's class started running at 9am. They stretched with their assigned Marines for 10 minutes and then ran for 20.

She ran like the wind!

By the end her total was 18 laps.

Sully began his stretches with his Marines at 10am.

These were really cute to watch them do!

By the end Sully ran 19 laps.
We pledged them a dollar each lap they ran thinking they'd only run 10 at the most. Wow was I a fool. I guess that's what I get for underestimating my kiddos. I really was so proud of them, at one point I got all choked up and started to weep a little. I am such a Clift!

I did the same thing when Mia's school had their Fun Run. I thought they were going to run around a regular track, so I figured at most she would make it through 4 laps. I pledged $5/lap. So they just ran around the baseball diamond- she did 16. I ended up just sending in a flat donation. Lesson learned for next year!
UUMM I think the Devericks kids have grown a foot since they left here. The sun must be making them grow. Amara and Sully , you guys are AWESOME!!!!! I am very proud of both of you.
